Our Guild Days are held on the third Saturday of the month and consist of talks including workshops*, and skills days. Full members can attend these sessions at held in Steeple Ashton, Wiltshire. (£3 door money). Visitors (including our online members) are welcome at a fee of £10 where we have a speaker. *Please note an extra charge is made for workshops.
Our Homegrown Textiles Exhibition enabled members to showcase their skills by creating wearable items from materials only produced or processed within the South West region of the UK.
As members of the Guild we already produced many items of good quality, sustainable clothing. However the idea of the project was to focus on where all elements of our clothes come from, as well as to challenge ourselves and extend our own knowledge of our local area, or ‘Fibreshed’. More detailed information can be found here.
